In the morning, your transfer will drive you to the Santiago airport. Hop on a short domestic flight to Puerto Montt. Upon your arrival in the Lakes District, your comfortable rental car will be waiting for you. You will quickly arrive in Puerto Varas, just half an hour drive away.

Take advantage of the rest of the day to explore Puerto Varas on foot, swim in the lake, or simply admire the view of the Osorno volcano.

This day is spent in Puerto Varas. You will discover  a snowy volcano, take a chairlift ride to witness a superb view of the entire region, and observe turquoise-blue waterfalls. You can finish this beautiful day with a ride by the lake located at the foot of the mountains.

From the Osorno volcano to the Petrohué waterfalls, passing by Lake Todos los Santos, your day will be action-packed.

You also have the opportunity to spend the day biking around the lake (with electric assistance or car support if necessary).

Today, experience water sports in Chile’s impressive natural setting. 

• The adventurers can choose an adrenaline rush by joining a whitewater rafting session! As a team, you will be able to discover the Petrohue rapids from a unique point of view. 
• Families can opt for a calmer experience, kayaking in a hidden lagoon. You will be able to explore superb fauna and flora surrounded by wilderness.

In the afternoon, you can head to traditional towns inspired by German heritage, such as Frutillar and Puerto Octay, to taste local pastries (kuchen) or craft beer.

Hit the road this morning to get to the mythical island of Chiloé. After a short ferry on the Chacao canal, you will arrive in Ancud. If you keep your eyes peeled, you may be lucky enough to spot dolphins or sea lions! Enjoy this road trip to admire the unbridled wilderness of the archipelago. 

Upon arrival, wander around Ancud at your own pace.

Today’s adventure will delight children and adults alike. The lucky travelers will meet a colony of Humboldt and Magellanic penguins today! Sailing to Chiloe’s islets promises an experience rich in flora and fauna. As a bonus, you will be surrounded by magnificent views along the way.

Take the rest of the day to relax or further explore Ancud. 

Overnight: Panamerica, double room.

On this third day in the archipelago, go on a treasure hunt for the churches of Chiloe. On the road from Ancud to Castro, several stops will delight both young and old: a detour to Isla Aucar accessible via a long bridge, or a stop in a craft market, not to mention a visit to UNESCO-listed churches. For an authentic visit, you can also take the ferry to Isla Quinchao.

Once in Castro, explore the stilt houses (palafitos) along the shore.

How about continuing the unusual discoveries of the Chiloe archipelago by heading to Lemuy Island? Visit a UNESCO-listed church there and discover an authentic way of life in the tiny villages you will pass through. Castro is the perfect starting point for your explorations.

Take advantage of a fantastic viewpoint over the Quehui, Chelin, and Chaulinec islands and Michinmahuida volcano on the mainland. In the Yayanes natural park, a long suspension bridge can be crossed.

Today is the day to go back to Puerto Montt for your last road trip in Lakes District. You will then return your rental car and take your domestic flight back to Santiago de Chile.

Back in Chile’s capital city, your driver will pick you up to take you to your accommodation.
