Day 1Welcome to Chile!

Welcome to Santiago de Chile!

Upon your arrival at Santiago’s international airport, your private driver will transport you to your comfortable accommodation in Bellavista neighborhood.

Enjoy the rest of the day to explore the vibrant Chilean metropolis. Plaza de Armas, the historical neighborhood, and San Cristobal Hill are essential stops on your city tour. Cap off your day with a nice traditional meal in the bohemian barrio Bellavista!

Day 2Discover Patagonia

The next leg of your Latin American adventure starts now. In the morning, your driver will take you to Santiago’s airport, where you will catch a flight to Punta Arenas. You are now in the heart of the Chilean Patagonia, the land at the end of the world! At the airport, you will pick up your 4×4 car (Rav4 Toyota or similar).

Hit the road to Punta Arenas. You will have plenty of time to explore this traditional Patagonian city! We suggest a visit to La Costanera del Estrecho (the ocean front), the replica of Nao Victoria (Magellan’s boat) and the house of pioneer José Menéndez. From your hotel, at Cerro de la Cruz, you will enjoy an incredible 360-degree view of your surroundings.

Overnight: La Yegua Loca, superior room with a view, Punta Arenas

Day 3Meet a colony of Magellan pinguins

Get ready for a unique day: today, you will meet a colony of Magellanic penguins! Local experts will take you on an expedition into the natural reserve of Magdalena Island. The island is home to a huge colony of small penguins and natural beauty. You will experience wonderful sightseeing and adorable encounters on this day’s adventure.

After visiting this reserve, you will take a 2-hour road trip to Puerto Natales. The drive through Patagonian landscapes is a sight-seeing tour in and of itself!

Then, you will have the opportunity to discover Puerto Natales. The village is on the coast of Ultima Esperanza (“Last Hope”) and embodies the Patagonian spirit with its multi-colored houses and mysterious landscapes. Enjoy a walk along the seaside to take in the spectacular views.

Day 4Live the authentic estancia experience

Experience the typical estancia way of life at one of the most beautiful ranches in Patagonia!

The estancia is hidden and only accessible by boat, which makes it a perfect refuge for animals and native species. The day will be full of adventures, a delicious lamb barbecue, sheepdogs, and breath-taking landscapes. This full-day tour is an excellent way to experience and learn about gaucho culture and life on a Patagonian ranch. Enjoy a horseback ride surrounded by mountains, pampa, and fjords. You will also be able to relax at the ranch, take a bird-watching walk with experienced guides, or go for a four-wheel off-road drive.

Day 5Explore Torres del Paine

Get back on the road for a short road trip through la pampa to reach Torres del Paine. The national park is one of the biggest and most iconic wonders of Patagonia.

You will be staying in a comfortable lodge, in the heart of the natural park. It provides you with a wonderful opportunity to explore at your own pace! By car or by foot, travelers will visit the wonderful view points of the park and its walks and hikes. Each step gives you new opportunity to marvel at the sights of Torres del Paine!

Day 6Sail to Grey Glacier

Today, discover the majestic Grey Glacier on a 3-hour boat ride! The boat will approach the glacier as close as possible so you can enjoy an unrivaled view of the landscape comprised of mountains, icebergs and vegetation. You will also be able to access a viewpoint directly overlooking the glacier, 45 minutes from the Grey Hotel. The picture-perfect panorama is definitely worth the detour!

Perhaps you will even see pieces of ice breaking off from the glacier with an thundering noise. You will be served whiskey or a pisco sour on millennial ice to immortalize the moment.

You will then have a free afternoon to continue exploring the surroundings and hiking.

On today’s program: a full-day cruise to discover Campo de Hielo Patagónico Park, passing through Lake Argentino and the iceberg channel.

Los Glaciares National Park is a magnificent blend of woods, lakes, mountains, ice, and steppes with more than 200 glaciers. Among the most well-known are the Spegazzini Glacier, which is very tall; the Upsala Glacier, which covers almost the entire valley; and of course, the famous Perito Moreno, which, unlike most of the world’s glaciers, is constantly growing.
